The Conductor’s Caboose (July 24th & 25th)

Hallo Everybody! Hope you’re all finding some kinda warmth and joy in this chilly summer we’re experiencing around here.

Show #200 for Boss Radio has come and gone, Show #201 (Friday 4-6pm) will be as much fun as it’s predacessor. I’ve been promised by a couple of our local diskeries that there will be some new/classic Rockabilly arriving in town this week, but you never can be sure. If it does arrive, you’ll hear it during The Classic Iron Homestretch from 5:30 to 6.

This Saturday’s Prairie Lily Special (6-8 pm) presents Part Two of our Bookender Spotlight on Ray Charles, showcasing his second classic album from 1962 devoted to his interpretations of great Country standards. Speaking of Rockabilly again, we’ll soon be doing a Rockabilly Boogie Time segment (7-7:30 duing PLS) devoted to one of early R&R’s greatest, but criminally overlooked wildmen Benny Joy. I just hope the stuff arrives…
