The Conductor’s Caboose (October 23rd & 24th)

Mission Accomplished! Your’s Truly Ruly has pulled up stakes and successfully moved to Southeast Regina with no damage to my music library. Preparation for this weekend’s shows has already begun, so here’s what you can expect:

Boss Radio (Friday 4-6 pm) will introduce Kenny Shield’s great late-sixties’ group Witness Inc. to the Boss Canadian library along with some terrific Rockabilly from the ‘D’ and Dart labels during The Classic Iron Homestretch. Another Fabulous Forty in which all the usual bells and whistles will apply!

Saturday’s edition of The Prairie Lily Special (6-8 pm) concludes a two-part Bookender Spotlight on a sad note: news regarding the passing of Shelby Singleton on October 7th trickled in last week. Singleton was one of the most talent savvy movers in the music world and you’ll be able to hear more of the eclectic collection of Country recordings his issued on his Plantation and SSS labels from the late 1960’s through mid-seventies.
