Hallo Everybody! The first two shows conceived in my new abode went very well! Add to that the Riders’ big win over the Leos…it was a cracker of a weekend. Now approaching is your’s Truly Ruly’s favorite holiday…HALLOWEEN!
Friday’s edition of Boss Radio (4-6 pm) welcomes the return of The Conductor’s great buddy buddy Heinrich Cryptkick to host the 5th Annual Monster Mash show. Lots of scary novelty sides for the season will be played by Mr. Cryptkick to help get youse in the mood for the serious trickin’, treatin’ (but NO mistreatin’) ahead. Miss this show and you’ll die a thousand deaths!
This week’s edition of The Prairie Lily Special (Saturday 6-8 pm) re-visits the Little Darlin’ recording career of Johnny Paycheck during The Bookender Spotlight. I’ve acquired more of Johnny’s sides thanks to a re-issue from Austrailia’s Omni Recording Company that reconfirms that the Late, Great Mr. Paycheck arguably was THE most compelling, scary but honest male Country performer of the 1960’s (and he wasn’t too bad during the seventies and eighties either). This Bookender Spotlight will continue with Part Two airing on November 7th. The Rockabilly Boogie Time segment from 7-7:30 pm will present more great moolah from the ‘D’ and Dart labels founded by Harold “Pappy” Daily (George Jones first and longtime manager).
Have a safe and bountiful Halloween and don’t forget to brush…your teeth that is.
