The Conductor’s Caboose (November 13th & 14th)

Well, how ya’ doin’ Winky Blinkers? We have one weekend off from Football (but I’m sure many of you will be watchin’ the Western-Semi just so you can ridicule, scorn and deride the Stamps and Esks while watchin’ to see who The Good Guys play next weekend). In the meantime, load up on 91.3 FM’s fine roster of weekend programming, which includes MY shows:

Boss Radio (Friday 4-6 pm) debuts some great old Winnipeg Rock N’ Roll from the sixties and seventies thanks to Shawn Nagy and his SuperOldies label based out of Duluth, Minnesota. If you love collecting great Canadian sounds or just want to revisit the warm and fuzzies from your younger days visiting Winterpeg for one of those “rite of passage” lost weekends of yore, we’ll float your boat if either one of these scenarios IS the case.

This week’s edition of The Prairie Lily Special (Saturday 6-8 pm) features pianomeister (monster?) Merrill E. Moore during The Bookender Spotlight this week and on November 20th. Canadian Country fans can rejoice, for I’ll be playing performers from Manitoba who recorded for the Winnipeg-based Eagle Records label. The Bombers might stink, but the musicians of Manitoba certainly DON’T, so listen and enjoy (my Mom was born and raised in Brandon, so it ain’t that bad of a place, now isn’t it?).
