The Conductor’s Caboose (January 22nd & 23rd)

Sorry ’bout being late with this week’s edition of “The ‘Boose”, but I had some stuff percolatin’, so I wanted to wait until the joe was ready before sending in the blog. Alright then, here goes…

Another Fabulous Forty is headed your way this Friday on Boss Radio (4-6 pm).  I hope you’all enjoyed last week’s Soul Spactacular. Maybe I’ll do another one a few months down the road…maybe not…hmm. I think most of you who already listen to the show know that NOBODY HAS MORE SOUL ON REGINA RADIO THAN BOSS RADIO! There. In case you forgot, you shouldn’t have any reason to forget that…using all those upper case letters and bold type and all.

Saturday’s edition of The Prairie Lily Special (6-8 pm) will present the conclusion of the two-part Bookender Spotlight featuring The Oak Ridge Boys. The last half hour of the show this week is dedicated to the memory and music of Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole’ Opry member Carl Smith, who passed away last Saturday. Coming to the show January 30th is a very special Bookender Spotlight featuring an interview with Canada’s Country Gentleman…The Travelin’ Man…Tommy Hunter! Most of you fans of the great man already know that he’s coming to town February 5th to the Casino Regina Show Lounge, wanderin’ across Canada on another gruelling tour. I interviewed Mr. Hunter via telephone last Wednesday and he was exactly what I expected: a gracious, straightforward gentleman who greatly values the strong relationship he has with his fans. So don’t miss out on this Bookender Spotlight to open the month of February!
