The Conductor’s Caboose (April 2nd & 3rd)

I hope all of youse has a wonderful Easter and terrific Spring Break, but do keep your guard up against those annoying April Fools’ plots, jokes and ruses (which all sound non-plausible and unrealistic on ANY normal day).

Yes, I’ve been a victim of this stuff before. Ya’ wanna make somethin’ out of it ?!

This Friday will definitely be a Good one…and not just in name as it appears on the calender, as Boss Radio (4-6 pm) presents another“Soul Spectacular” show, with emphasis on many early examples of the genre from the early 1960’s.

The Prairie Lily Special (Saturday 6-8 pm) continues and concludes The Bookender Spotlight devoted to the 1950’s recordings of the great Roy Acuff that started with TPLS show # 400 last week. Following Roy on April 10th and 17th’s  Bookender will be Little Jimmy Dickens, a durable and treasured performed who received much help from Mr. Acuff in his early career and like his mentor continues to perform and host The Grand Ole’ Opry to this very day.
