100 years for IWD, 50 years for AI

On the Friday February 25, 2011 version of Human Rights Radio, we spoke with Jill Arnott, executive director of the Women’s centre at the University of Regina about the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the event planned at the University. In the second half of the show we spoke with Gord Barnes, field worker for Amnesty International, about the upcoming visit of Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada. Alex will be talking about Amnesty’s accomplishments over the past 50 years as well as discussing the Provincial Government’s proposed changes to Saskatchewan’s Human Rights Legislation.
