The Conductor’s Caboose (Oct 21st & 22nd)

I have a least ONE compelling argument for you to listen to this Friday’s edition of Boss Radio (4 – 6pm) : IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!

Not compelling…enough, okay well, how about this one:

At 5pm during the show, the draw for the Grand Donor’s Prize for Radiothon 2011 will be made, so if you made a pledge of $25 during our week long extravaganza, you’ll be eligible to win that awesome trip for two to the Gran Melia Resort in Cancun, Mexico courtesy of Carlson Wagonlit Richert Vacations and Sunquest Vacations! So listen in to find out if you win! But…

Just in case you’re tuned in for the music, I’ll be bringing you terrific (but unheard on our station) sounds by Ottawa’s thoroughly wonderful Esqiures from back in the day during Hour One, complimented by more tasteful tunes from Rock N’ Roll’s great unsung lady Jackie De Shannon in Hour Two along with more delicious Boss Sounds served up faster than pancakes and bacon at the Sunday breakfast smorg at Stuckey’s! Dive In, but keep ‘yer elbows to yourself, wouldya!

The Prairie Lily Special (Saturday 6 – 8 pm) presents Part Two of a Bookender Spotlight devoted to two of Canada’s favorite saddle pals (and Lenny Breau’s brilliant parents) Hal Lone Pine and Betty Cody. The Bookender will feature other Country luminairies in the coming weeks such as:

Ronnie Dove (October 29th and November 5th)
Buck Owens and Susan Raye (November 12th)
Jerry Jeff Walker (November 19th)
and Mel Tillis Re-Visited (November 26th)
