With sadness we announce the passing of Paul Revere.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Paul Dorazio AKA Paul Revere. A pioneer programmer at CJTR, Paul’s talent and profile lent considerable credibility to community radio in its fledgling days. His earlier career in private radio included stops in St. John’s, Hamilton, Thunder Bay and Regina. He was a deejay at CFGM Toronto, a powerhouse of country music. Paul later hosted a terrific program at CJTR featuring what he called “Kick Ass Country”. But he was best known for his thorough knowledge of popular music and his highly entertaining rock and roll show “Revere’s Records”. Paul owned 10 thousand 45 RPM’s and 5 Thousand LP’s. He drew from this immense collection and played tunes the labour intensive way, giving our turntables quite a workout. Audiences loved it. He would delightfully delve into the musical past and as he said, “I’ll bring back memories you never thought you had”. Now, we remember Paul Revere, the board member, volunteer programmer and valued friend of Regina Community Radio. To his loved ones and family we offer our condolences.
