BOSS RADIO TO SHRINK TIME AND DISTANCE FOR RADIOTHON CLIMAX

Not so long ago, CJTR’s Boss Radio was wholly dedicated to playing as many sides as could be limited only by sheer physics and, on some occasions, sheer physiology.

Unfortunately, those limitations discriminated against a great deal of good music made in the 1970’s. Eventually I relented and decided to try and make most of you happy by including more sounds from The Pet Rock Era. Doing this took out some of my desire to be sharp and precise in presenting The Boss Sounds, since I wasn’t required to squeeze-in time I wouldn’t have anyway by playing singles from an era of triple-LP, gate-fold sleeve dumb-assery.

BOSS RADIO FOR Friday, September 30th (4 to 6pm) is ready to make an attempt on it’s own Land Speed Record: 44 sides in two hours. ALL singles during the attempt will NOT be shorter than TWO MINUTES. All bells and whistles (the weather updates, live read ads, etc.) will be included.

To me, this upcoming show means as much to me as jumping the Snake River Canyon did to Evel Knievel. Except I know that I’ll reach the other side. I’m not gonna fail and I refuse to book a hospital bed in advance.

SORRY. THIS ATTRACTION IS NOT AVAILABLE ON PAY-PER-VIEW.
