Monthly Broadcast: Render Unto Caesar
CJTR is pleased to share a monthly program called Render Unto Caesar produced by Josh Campbell, which dissects the connection between religion and the public sphere.
Tune-in to the first edition of the program this Sunday November 1st at 6pm, to hear Josh talk with Michael Coren about his fall from grace as the voice of conservative Christianity, and why he is not turning back.
About Josh Campbell:
Josh Campbell is the co-founder and president of Wascana Solar Co-op (WSC), Saskatchewanâs newest solar energy co-operative (est. 2018). In 2016 he completed Sirocco: Winds of Resistance about the oppression of an Indigenous group in northwestern Africa and how Canadaâs Nutrien (formerly PotashCorp and Agrium) is contributing to it.
For a day job, Campbell loves working at Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School where he teaches religion, journalism, coaches rugby, and advises the environment, social justice and chess clubs.
Campbellâs roots go back to Caroline, Alberta, where his fatherâs family raised prize sheep. He first came to Saskatchewan after attending Athol Murray College of Notre Dame for high school. Notre Dame catapulted Campbell into the University of Calgary where he earned science and education degrees in addition to playing linebacker for the Dinos football team. He has since taught at Aga Khan High School in Kampala, Uganda, back at Notre Dame, Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic High School, and now at Miller.
In-between his teaching assignments Campbell earned both bachelor and master degrees in journalism from the University of Regina. While on assignment with the Regina Leader-Post in 2010, he met his wife Morgan Campbell (nee Reed). He and Morgan now have two beautiful and powerful girls: Clare (7) and Greer (5).
Campbell is a passionate visionary who feels itâs his moral duty to work towards a more equitable and sustainable world. He tries to live his values by gardening in his Regina Heritage neighbourhood backyard and using solar panels to power his house and family car.
