Jon Neher
The Plain A.I.R. (October 2018) artist-in-residence is multi-disciplinary artist and musician, Jon Neher. Join Jon every Saturday in October from 3-4pm for his program entitled ‘Chop Chop TIMBRE’ which explores two forms of audio expression that are often underrepresented on Canadian and Regina terrestrial radio: music that explores non-traditional musical timbres and continuous DJ mixes.
About Jon Neher:
Jon Neher is a multi-disciplinary artist, with a focus in music and sound. His musical education came through his hometown Regina jazz scene where his piano skills allowed him to play with the legendary Bob Moyer Big Band and it’s spiritual successor the Regina Jazz Orchestra. Jon continues to spread his wings playing with a variety of groups across diverse genres: Nick Faye and The Deputies, Orphan Mothers, The Bureau, Oiseaux, and most recently Beach Body to name a few. Jon also lends his musical talents to theatre productions in and around Regina and is busy working as an educator in various art related disciplines.
