Kyath Battie’s Cinematic Scores

The Plain A.I.R. artist-in-residence this month (November 2019) is Kyath Battie! For her month on air, Kyath presents a program called ‘Cinematic Scores’, a weekly show dedicated to cinematic soundtracks ranging from 80’s Blockbusters, Sci-Fi, Horror, Avant Garde, Video Games and Independent Singles. Kyath Battie is a filmmaker with specific interests in mysteries, landscapes and sound design. Her work has screened internationally and she has taught film production at several universities across Canada and the US. Tune in every Saturday in November from 3-4pm for ‘Cinematic Scores’!

???? ???? What happens when radio is considered a creative space similar to a laboratory, studio or venue, supporting expression and experimentation?

???? ???? ???? Plain A.I.R.is an artist-in-residence radio program that airs on 91.3FM CJTR, Regina’s community radio station. Each month the program features a different local artist, DJ, musician, band or community member as a guest host who programs a month’s worth of live, weekly radio shows.

The program airs Saturday afternoons from 3-4pm between January and June (Season 1) and September and December (Season 2) in 2019.
