PLAIN A.I.R. (FEBRUARY 2021): STORYTELLING MONTH
This February, the Plain A.I.R. artist-in-residence program celebrates Storytelling Month. Co-hosts Dale Mac and Annie Brass have gathered recordings of elders’ wisdom in order to preserve and share stories at a time when older folks are especially at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is more important than ever that we safeguard Indigenous knowledge.

ABOUT DALE: Dale Mac Music (McArthur) is an Indigenous songwriter and Blues/Roots/Rock guitarist from the White Bear First Nation and based in Regina, Sask.
ABOUT ANNIE: Annie Brass, also known as Brainyass, Is a standup comic hailing from Regina Saskatchewan. Brainyass began comedy in 2003, with performances from local venues, National Television and onto the World Stage! ABOUT PLAIN A.I.R.: What happens when radio is considered a creative space similar to a laboratory, studio or venue, supporting expression and experimentation?
Plain A.I.R is an artist-in-residence radio program that airs on 91.3FM CJTR, Regina’s community radio station. Each month the program features a different local artist, DJ, musician, band or community member as a guest host who programs a month’s worth of live, weekly radio shows. The program airs Saturday afternoons from 3-4pm.
