LOA and Revilla as Soup and Crackers
The Plain A.I.R. (February 2018) artists-in-residence are LOA and Revilla as Soup and Crackers! Tune in every Saturday in February from 3-4pm to listen to listen to their R n’ B and alternative pop preoccupations.
LOA Bio: Emerging from the “Queen City”- Regina, Saskatchewan, LOA is the feminine force behind the new-wave sound that is rising out from the prairies. In a land primarily known for its country singers and acoustic guitars, the Canadian electronic R&B/soul singer-songwriter aims to breathe new life and substance into the prairie sound. Likened to that of dark, electronic R&B artists such as Banks, Grimes, and Purity Ring, LOA brings her own coalescence of dark mysticism to the genre, making her better known to many as the “3 Witch”.
Revilla Bio: Josh Gonzales is an impassioned community builder in Saskatchewan’s music scene and an active contributor to Trifecta’s Artist Collective. He serves as a member of SaskMusic’s board of directors, and has championed Saskatchewan music during showcases at music festivals such as Ness Creek Music Festival and Canadian Music Week. Josh is working on a couple of EPs, one under the project of his given name and another as Revilla, his lyrically driven R&B alter-ego.
