Vincent, your Radio Ranger in the Ol’ Swivel Saddle, hosts an hour of music, story, musings, feature interviews and the weekly Pinkie Report.
On the Air draws its music sources from the 120 years of recorded music. Stay tuned and discover that what’s old is actually new!
Mists of Thyme
–
Jul 4, 2022
Words and music come together at the Mists of Thyme Cross-Roads. This eclectic hour has everything musical, from Victorian ‘drawing room’ ballads-to Elvis Costello’s Dad. And on the spoken-word side-cheerful, patriotic, humorous and tear jerking monologues(dramatic verse) from vaudeville days combined with the best of school poetry that had to be learnt-‘Off by heart’. Hosted by Scotland Calling’s cheeky chappie Ray Smith, who appears ‘kilt-less'(his word) and promises not to roll the ‘Rrrrrrr’s’ – although he might well roll out the barrels!
